Blue Bond quality control is governed by a strict set of regulations in order to make sure that only the very best bond makes it into the customer's hands. With this in mind, all bonding is conducted within our clean room facility and all parts are checked for performance and cleanliness prior to bonding. Despite the care taken optical bonding is still an imperfect process, so the occasional bubble or dust may show up after bonding. Dust is an unfortunate fact of bonding and may occasionally make its way into the bond. Within certain tolerance levels this will have no detrimental effect to the functioning of the display, so it is important that Blue Cube and the customer reach a mutually agreed upon level of tolerance prior to bonding.
Similarly, birefringence is another unfortunate fact of bonding. Though the greatest care is taken to produce a perfect bond occasional stress issues may arise and be frozen in place by the bond. This can cause "light spots" or "pressure spots" in the bond which are cosmetically unpleasant but cause no difficulty in the normal functioning of the panel. Again, a level of tolerance for this issue should be agreed upon before bonding begins.
RMA Procedure:
